Good Meditational Music: Music to Meditate To

Good Music for Meditation
Whether you are Buddhist, Christian, Pagan, or just simply a spiritual person, meditation is an integral part to your spirituality. Sometimes the silence during your meditations may be overwhelming, so meditation music is necessary. Sometimes we just have a difficult time focusing on meditating and need a calm, soothing or entrancing song to pull us into the meditational state of mind.
It is also difficult to find meditation music that suits one's specific spiritual needs and musical preferences. Much of the meditation music that is found when searching the internet for "meditation music" is of the Om-meditational nature. Not that there's anything wrong with the typical Yoga sounding meditation music, but maybe you're looking for some meditational music that fits your lifestyle and taste. If you're willing and open to trying different types of good meditational music in order to find your preferred meditational music, read on.

Try Mystics Dream
Celtic Meditation Music
Have you ever heard of Loreena McKennitt? Well, now you have and I highly recommend her music as inspirational and truly enchanting music for meditation. Her voice is extremely angelic and the music behind her lyrics makes you feel as if you're being sucked back in time, to a simpler place...to a place of beauty and enlightenment. I recommend Loreena's song "The Mystic's Dream" and also "Marrakesh Market". I have meditated to both of these songs and have found them to put me into a trance.
If you've never heard this meditational music, give it a try by watching the video that I've posted to the right for your convenience. I can almost guarantee that you will be entranced and want to download or buy her music for meditation right away!
In addition to Loreena McKennitt's celtic music for meditation, try out any type of Celtic Flutes album as the Celtic Flutes are both relaxing, soothing, and can induce a state of meditation.
Native American Shamanic Meditation Music
If you're not into the Celtic music as a means for meditational music, why not try out a Native American shamanic type music for meditation? My recommendation in this line of meditational music would have to be David & Steve Gordon. They have made numerous albums, all of which are wonderful but particularly their Native American drumming albums are fantastic music for meditation. Especially if you're doing trancework or any type of inner journey work.
They also have made a Native American Flutes album, which is just as relaxing but for a calmer type of meditation. If you're looking for a deeper and more intense inner journey, definitely go with their Shamanic Drumming music for meditation. I have actually fallen asleep at night listening to their Shamanic Drumming music and it has aided me in some intense dreamwork.
The Wiccan Meditation Music
For those of you who are Pagan or particularly Wiccan and you are searching for some decent Wiccan meditation music, I have some decent suggestions. For Wiccans, it is very difficult to find truly enjoyable and well-written meditational music that isn't cheesy or over-the-top.
My first recommendation is to play the Wiccan Goddess Chant during meditation. This is particularly good music for meditation if you are trying to concentrate on your matron goddess or simply doing some trancework, as well. I have posted the video for you to try it out.
Another great recommendation for Wiccan meditation music is "The Goddess Chant" and also the "Wiccan Rituals & Blessings" albums I have posted to the right. These albums are not only good music for meditation but also decent for ritual and circle work with a group or solitary.
Good luck and I hope that you've found some ideas for good music for meditation.
Thank you, I enjoyed listening to the meditation videos and think I might invest in some of the music.
