Find Out Your Element: Are You Earth, Air, Fire, or Water?
94Find Out Your Element: What Element Are You?
Many people find themselves connecting with one specific element in nature, be it earth, air, fire, or water. But one big question is how to "find out your element". This question is one that can be explored from many different angles and in the end must be decided upon by each individual person on a spiritual and personal level. There are a few ways of finding out your element, which I will identify in this hub.
The first thing to find out is what astrological sun sign are you and which element is your astrological sun sign connected with? Here's a quick list of signs & element connections:
Capricorn - Earth
Aquarius - Air
Pisces - Water
Aries - Fire
Taurus - Earth
Gemini - Air
Cancer - Water
Leo - Fire
Virgo - Earth
Libra - Air
Scorpio - Water
Sagittarius - Fire
Though the match up of astrological sign and element can give you a clue as to how to find out your element, it isn't always going to be your actual element. For me, I am a Sagittarius (sun sign), which is fire; however, I've never felt fully connected with the element fire...in fact, I usually fear it more than I do embrace it. For me, I took a further look into my astrological signs and discovered that my moon sign and my rising sign are both Capricorn...which means I am fire, but also double earth! This made much more sense to me, as I've always felt a connection with the earth in all of its forms - trees, rocks, dirt, animals such as horses and deer, etc. If you don't feel like your astrological sun sign has helped you to find out your element, try finding out what your moon sign and rising signs are and see if those make more sense to you.
Think about which element you've made a more personal connection with throughout your lifetime. For instance - have you always enjoyed playing with fire? Are you a bit of a pyromaniac? You're probably the element fire, then! What about flying in a plane or having an urge to sprout wings or a love for butterflies and birds? You might be the element air. How about climbing trees as a child, building tree forts, or simply rolling around in the dirt? Maybe you're the element earth. What if you've felt a connection to water your entire life? Maybe you absolutely adore the beach, go surfing, or love sailing? Maybe you love having fish or watching sea turtles...you're probably the element water. These are simple calculations to find out your element, but many other factors could be taken into consideration. For a deeper look into what each of the four elements represent and how you could connect to find out your element, keep reading.

Hmmm ... very interesting. I did not know about the connection between astrological signs and the elements.
Air is my strongest element, then comes water, earth and fire. I found my element connection with the help of magic and now, I often make offerings to my elemental friends. They help greatly and I am thankful for that.
Interesting blog, thank you for writing it. Cheers!
This is soo true! Thanks for writing this hub! Voted up!!
In Hindu philosophy woman is considered to be water element represented by a triangle with its apex pointing downward. And male is fire element, apex point upward. When these two triangles place one upon other, it is called universal merge of male and female.
I enjoyed pagan's point of view. It is always so good to know new and interesting things in your hub.
Hi Kitty,
Another fabulous hub with so much information but interesting as well. The elements were always a puzzle to me, but your hub has enlightened me a lot.
AS to the element symbols. I always knew I was a split personality - I'm half earth half air!!! Very odd, but that's what I'm drawn to and how I feel and express myself.
This hub was great, very enjoyable + Voted up.
How fun! I really enjoy your hubs kitty! I knew I would have something to do with the air element - so much of it does make sense! Thanks for sharing this interesting perspective. Rated as such ;-)
Well, given my HP identity, there is now denying what my primary element is. :0) Otters are my favorite animal.
The other element I am drawn to is earth. I love being barefoot and walking the wooded labyrinth in my community. Always loved camping, gardening, etc. Squirrels are my second favorite animal.
I think there is a little air in me, too. I love watching dragonflies and fireflies. Used to love to catch fireflies on my front lawn when I was young, hold them in my hand to watch their glow, then release them.
Fire I have been drawn to, but also have a little fear of its destructive power, too. I have always loved bonfires and sitting by a hearth fire on a winter's afternoon or evening.
Soooo...I am blessed to feel a positive connection to all of the elements in some way.
Beautiful pictures in your hub, too, Kitty!
Great information....my element is water....and reading more information about my element was fun....I especially enjoyed all the quality photos and your video you attached...very well done.
I've always felt a connection with Earth. =) I'm a Virgo, and interestingly enough, I have a character that I roll played as who was a half-gorgon! She's my favorite, and I've even written children books about her. xD I've always been fascinated by Medusa. Love the hub (as always)! ^_^
Hey Kitty-this was great with all the info on the elements. Most of this I didn't know. Thanks. Kitty could I ask you this please: In an elemental/Wiccan way; what other female elements/signs match up best with a Libra male? If you don't have time thats ok but a quick answer sure would be appreciated.~:)
Your hubs are as special as you.I never knew about the elements and the video was perfect.I am earth and I have a great connection with the earth.Just being in the garden or with the trees. You have brought life closer to home. Thanks for sharing and enlightning me.
I quite enjoyed this hub, thanks for writing it. I've always known I was a Leo which is funny because the description for Leo doesn't fit me at all lol. If I had to pick and element that fits me best I'd say earth with air a close second. I found out that my moon and rising sign is Libra and that description and element (air) fit me much more than Leo (fire).
Once again, another great hub Kitty! I appear to be 100% water, which I already kind of knew. Thanks for the info and blessed be!
it says im air...but i fit water to a tee
Before I was pretty sure I was of Earth but now I am positive. This is a great hub Kitty. I really enjoyed it. And I am glad that you have shared this with readers. Voted up.
Thanks for this great hub! My personality is Scorpio through and through,my favorite colors are greens and blues, but my totem is the Red-Tailed Hawk. I've always been fascinated by air creatures and felt a kinship with them...so I guess I'm a mixture of air and water. :) Voted up!
Im a mix of Earth and Water as a very young child (witch I still am now) I loved to play in mud and dirt and loved to climb trees and inneract with animals, when my other friends were scared of spiders, I came right up to one and let it stare at me, I also have a love for cold colors (such as blue, green, teal, white, grey, purple, and navy) and water is beautiful to me, but I am scared of deep water, but I love to swim in deep water with someone else only, and when it comes to animals I always wanna see horses and wolves, I make drawings of animals and stories about animals, so does this make me a mix of Earth and Water? =D
I think I already new I was 'air'
I really enjoyed reading this hub. Very interesting!
pisces is my sign
my element is water
I don't have any children
but wish I had a daughter
Thanks for the information
I sure do like your style
I will follow you now
and dream about you in a while
I am an Aquirius, and I definitely think air is my element. Thanks for this page and all of the others you have made! They have really helped me.

I am fire (sag too) which I can see in some ways, though I definitely identify most with water - I love being in it and swimming so I'm pretty sure that is my moon sign.
I was an air, but Im afraid of heights!LOL...probably Im in fire coz my favorite color is red and I enjoy playing with fire sometimes, not literally.:)Anyway, great hub mate.
