Rhiannon (a Welsh Celtic Goddess), Epona (Gallo-Roman Goddess), and even the mythological creature Pegasus were all related to or considered to be sacred, spiritual horses.

I have seen a white horse in my dreams, and at that time in my life, I believed him to be my horse spirit guide for a couple of reasons. The time in my life was a tumultuous, troublesome time and I was in dire need of an otherworldly spirit guide such as the horse spirit guide. I also needed to be taught spirituality on another plane of existence, and maybe in the interim was able to escape reality in some ways.
